Senior Portraits with Chelsea at Pike Place Market

Chelsea describes herself as a “spicy redhead” who loves to shop! Chelsea attends Kamiak High School in Mukilteo and also loves to read. I met up with Chelsea and two of her friends at Pike Place Market in Seattle. We captured piles of beautiful photographs in front of the market and below in Post Alley. Of course, we had to get some images of Chelsea in front of the world famous Gum Wall. A small crowd of tourists formed to watch as I photographed Chelsea! They must have thought she was a famous reality TV star!

Here’s some Seattle trivia for you: The tradition of people sticking gum on the brick wall in Post Alley began in 1993 when theater patrons waiting in line began making art out of chewing gum and coins. The theater tried cleaning the wall several times, but eventually gave up after the phenomenon continued. In 1999, the Pike Place Market declared the Gum Wall a tourist attraction.
